A Brief Procedure
Getting an order from
buyers is not an easy task. Merchandiser of a factory is responsible to take
order from buyer and execute the full operation from production to shipment.
The merchandiser receives some product related documents for example
Measurement Chart from buyers. Merchandises are responsible for developing
samples for the further process. And
buyer’s quality and selection department make the Sample Section. The pattern
maker makes pattern and send it to the sample making department who are
responsible to make mock up for that particular garment. For final sample
development they send the pattern to CAD department for calculations of
consumed materials by what the cost is determined.
Mock Up
To learn the procedure,
you need to know about Mockup which is a demo structure of a garment, makes the
initiating time of product development stage. Product development department
has find out the difficulties it’s can be occurred during sample making and
production process. Mock up basically helps the CAD & IE Professionals to
find out the actual consumed materials and SMV from the used fabric and trims
which they have already used for the product
Procedure for
Negotiations:
Based on the spent materials and effort including labor cost, they determine the approximate production cost, which they get from costing department. Merchandisers place price on the product to negotiate with them. In general, buyers ask to reduce the price if the they are willing to put them in production. If the buyer thinks the price is reasonable they ask them to proceed further. Which is simply meaning that the factory gets the order from the buyers. The sample department is entirely responsible from developing to explaining the buyers. They also check all the quality during the production.

Sealing
After the approval of the
sample, the factory gets the order from buyer and can start production process
as soon as possible to meet the shipment dead line. Factory works real hard to
complete the production and prepare for shipment goods within FOB date.

Negotiate
the price
Merchandisers are mostly
responsible to do the negotiation with client. Depending on their sample making
cost and materials they put a label on the products. The shipment part falls
under the buyers himself but the price tag for the product for customer.
Usually, it takes 60 to 120 days depending on buyers’ requirement and the price
paid for the production cost.
So, the entire procedure is maintained in various phases
which has to go from requesting sample to shipment. Merchandisers gets order
for making sample and then they are sent to buyers. If they feel like taking
it, then the negotiation is done for cost, quantity and other procedure. Throughout

and phone numbers.
